History

March 1946 Production of powdered wasabi begins in Hotaka, Azumino, Nagano.
April 1953 Transition to a corporation as a limited company, "Iguchi Powdered Wasabi Industry."
January 1961 Relocation and construction of the head office and factory in Toyoshina, Azumino.
April 1965 Establishment of the Tokyo Branch in Ota Ward, Meguro.
April 1967 Founding of Marui Corporation.
October 1975 Introduction of "Neri Wasabi" with the development of room-temperature storage technology.
Launch of "Namawasabi" stored under refrigeration.
January 1979 Expansion of the main factory and commencement of research on spices and herbs.
February 1980 Relocation of the Tokyo Branch to Higashi-Oi, Shinagawa Ward.
April 1984 Expansion of the research laboratory.
Introduction of "Wasabi 100" (pure fresh wasabi) along with product technology development.
April 1985 Launch of fresh wasabi "Wasabi 100" in a tube form.
